About The Birthday Boys
The Birthday Boys formed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Los Angeles Theatre in 2007. They currently perform a new half hour of sketch comedy every month to sold-out UCB crowds. In three short years, The Birthday Boys have developed an enthusiastic following and become a distinct voice in the sketch comedy community. In addition to playing at many of Los Angeles's most respected stages (The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, iO West, The Improv, Second City, Groundlings, The Laugh Factory, etc.), they've performed at a number of California universities (UCLA, USC, Cal State Northridge) and many comedy festivals, including the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, New York City, and others.

The Birthday Boys have been featured regularly on the front pages of FunnyorDie.com, UCBcomedy.com, and Comedy Central's Atom.com (with whom they have a web series production deal). They've collaborated with Bob Odenkirk, Matt Besser, Charlyne Yi, Paul Rust, Andy Dick, Scott Aukerman, Abby Elliot, Andy Samberg, Aziz Ansari, and others. Their combined writing and producing credits include the 2009 MTV Movie Awards with Andy Samberg, The 2010 MTV Movie Awards with Aziz Ansari, Comedy Central's This Show Will Get You High, MTV's animated series Popzilla, the 2010 Comedy Death-Ray Christmas album, and branded campaigns for Air New Zealand, Bud Light, Dirty Jobs, Axe and TJ Maxx/Marshalls. Members of the group have appeared in Parks and Recreation, The Office, HBO's Funny or Die Presents, Axe's World's Manliest Rituals campaign, and a number of network pilots. Mike Mitchell is the host of a popular live celebrity talk show called What's Going On, currently in development as a Funny or Die pilot. Additionally, the group is developing a number of web series and pilots of their own.

6/7ths of the group attended Ithaca College (Matt is a Texas alum). 5/7ths of the group lives in a small rented house overlooking Fatburger of Studio City. 2/7ths of the group live together elsewhere.
